MULTIPLE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Bloomfield Wins at Deerdale

December 23, 2014

Darren Bloomfield continued the excellent run of results achieved by the new Agama A215 by taking victory at Deerdale over the weekend.

With the 2015 BRCA National series re-introducing a round on Astroturf, Darren set about getting himself in the swing by getting some testing in early. Deerdale is a very technical track, and with local ace Graham Alsop in attendance for a comparison, Darren could not have given himself a bigger challenge. It didn't take long for Darren to settle in, taking the TQ honours and in the process beating the track record despite a few damp places where traction was limited was a resounding statement of what the car was capable of on the green stuff.
The final was a close affair, with the track starting to become a little moist as the race went on, and with both Darren and Graham on the dry weather tyres it was a very close battle that they both enjoyed. Darren came through to win by a scant 4 seconds to make it a Bullitt engine 1-2 at the head of the field.
Agama juniors Jonny Skidmore and Ollie Currie were 4th and 6th respectively as they too sought to build up some knowledge on this surface…
